Overview
Located just a half mile from downtown Hickory, Ridgeview is a generationally established neighborhood and one of the oldest historically black communities in the area. Ridgeview is known for local family-owned businesses, its legendary high school football team, and a vibrant culture centered around church and school.
Decades of underinvestment in Ridgeview and surrounding areas resulted in declining homeownership trends, skyrocketing rents, and increased neighborhood instability. For too many of our neighbors, the door to living in a safe and affordable home of their own was closing.
We need you with us on this endeavor. You play an important role in providing stable and affordable housing for more families.
Your support of the $1M Cottages at Ridgeview project gives Hickory the chance to give more families an opportunity to thrive.
Your investment provides a more secure home environment including stability for children, better sleep and nutrition, improved academic performance, improved job opportunities, and improved parental involvement.
