This program is geared at preventing foreclosures; it offers housing counseling, assistance working with your mortgage servicer, and access to legal services. Services are free, and there are no credit restrictions. Statewide, call 1-888-422-8188, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

HUD Certified Housing Counseling

A HUD-approved housing counselor is specially trained and certified by the government to help you assess your financial situation, evaluate options if you are having trouble paying your mortgage loan, and make a plan to get you help with your mortgage. You may access foreclosure prevention services free of charge.
