Churches are the backbone of Habitat for Humanity.  Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization founded on the belief that people cannot live and grow into all that God intends unless they have access to safe, decent, and affordable housing.  Habitat is about serving God by serving others.

Partnering with churches helps Habitat for Humanity fulfill our mission to demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Churches provide essential prayer support and invaluable resources that help serve families in need of housing.  Habitat provides an opportunity for churches to put their faith into action and help end poverty housing.

How do we get started?
If your church is wondering how to get involved with Habitat, you may want to consider:

• Signing up to work on a house or prepare a meal during Building on Faith or another time of year.
• Participating in the International Day of Prayer for Human Habitat.
• Adopting a Home.
• Participating in an Apostle's Build. 
• Hosting a Habitat-themed Vacation Bible School.
• Fundraising for Habitat.
• Advocating for housing policy can also be an exciting way to get involved.
